Consider the given shape.

Notice that the given shape is a rectangle.

We know,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (length + width)

Length of the given rectangle = 9 centimeters

Width of the given rectangle = 4 centimeters

 

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (9 + 4)                              

                                          = 2 × 13

                                          = 26

As the lengths are measured in centimeters, the perimeter is also measured in centimeters.
